18th Street Arts Center hosts programming and exhibitions in two campuses in Santa Monica, one at 18th Street and the other at the Santa Monica Airport.

18th Street Arts Center recognizes and acknowledges the first people of the ancestral territory on which its two sites have been built. With respect to their elders, past and present, and future generations, we recognize the Gabrieleño Tongva – who are still here – and honor, with gratitude, the land itself and those who have stewarded it throughout the generations. We honor and respect the many indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we gather, and we commit our work in service to and in alignment with these values, which we have codified in our core values. Please see http://www.gabrielinotribe.org/ for more information.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

As we continue to adapt to these challenging times, 18SAC remains dedicated to ensuring a safe environment for our community and beyond. Partnering with the city of Santa Monica, 18SAC has become a Shines COVID-19 Assurance organization. The Santa Monica Assurance Program was created to help organizations and businesses in Santa Monica shine reaffirm our commitment to safety and cleanliness.

Following the reopening guidance of the LA County Department of Health on June 15, 2021, our galleries are now open to walk-in visitors, though we still suggest you make an appointment for ease and convenience. You may find links to sign up for public appointments to view exhibitions in person at https://18thstreet.org/exhibitions/. All visitors are still required to wear masks to keep our employees and artist community safe. Please do not plan your visit if you are currently experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, or are under quarantine orders.

As we are beginning to plan some live in-person events, we are also continuing a robust online schedule of virtual exhibition tours, live zoom conversations, and arts workshops. Please visit our website at https://18thstreet.org/events-calendar/ for the latest information and upcoming events.
