Photographer & Filmmaker Catherine Herrera is a featured artist in 'Landscapes of Survivance, invited by curator Elizabeth Hawley, who selected nine (9) photographs from Catherine's 'Landless Indian Series 2002-2022.' The long-term project documents Catherine's family research of her Costanoan & Chumash heritage, and, history in San Francisco, New Almaden, San Jose and Martins Beach. The series reflects on her experience as an indigenous person of mixed race growing up in California.
