18th Street Arts Center is excited to announce the revival of the Santa Monica Airport ArtWalk. Situated in one of the oldest airports in the United States, the Santa Monica Airport hosts a vibrant community of over 60 artists, creative venues, and a spirited aviation scene.

You’ll have the chance to explore over 30 local artist studios, shop unique ceramics and glasswares created by Santa Monica College students and unleash your own creativity through free artist-led workshops. Don't miss what is sure to be an unforgettable art-filled day!

The City of Santa Monica will host the 32nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 3 to 7 PM at Virginia Avenue Park. The free, family-friendly event will feature an afternoon of music, unique food and craft vendors, a community stage, and local resources. Karla Diaz, the featured artist in our current exhibition Karla Diaz: Wait ‘til Your Mother Gets Home, will be leading an arts and crafts table for the public to engage with.

“Sun of the City” Mural Opening

"Sun of the City" is a project that utilizes existing constructions to create site-specific sundials that function uniquely in each location. Through this project, Haruka Yamada aims to reconsider the rules and systems of time and timekeeping, which we often unconsciously perceive as correct but historically have also served as symbols of power.
