THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19.

Out of an abundance of caution, and following calls in the region to limit gatherings, we are cancelling PICO BLOCK PARTY AND ARTISAN MARKETPLACE which was scheduled to take place on Saturday May 30, 2020 from 3-6 PM. 

All onsite public events at 18th Street have been cancelled through the end of May.

To get your dose of arts and culture at home, we encourage you to follow our Instagram for the latest updates, peruse our fantastic YouTube catalogue of artist lab mini-documentaries, and continue to check our website for new online content.

We will continue to follow public health guidance and will keep you updated.

18th Street Arts Center’s 5th Annual Pico Block Party & Artisan Marketplace returns on Saturday, May 30, 2020 with family-friendly fun, art-making, performances, food, artisanal goods for sale, and artist open studios. 

This campus-wide arts festival will feature rising hip-hop stars Hoolipack, the fantastical costumes of performance artists Beck+Col, graceful traditional baile folklorico from Cabeza de Vaca, and more delightful surprises throughout our sprawling campus. Dozens of family-friendly art-making opportunities from professional artists and local community groups, plus the gorgeous handcrafted goods of local Santa Monica artisans celebrate the array of arts and culture in our vibrant, diverse Pico Neighborhood.

Pico Block Party is always free – just bring your creativity!

Pico Block Party is generously funded by the City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs Department, the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, and is supported by our community partners such as Community Corps of Santa Monica, Virginia Avenue Park, and many more.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our gallery and event spaces are fully accessible, with ground level entrances with no steps. Upon requests for assistance, we will make programmatic aspects of our projects available in accessible alternative formats. You can email requests or questions at communications@18thstreet.org.
