Tsai Kuen-Lin

Using industrial materials to create elaborate formal configurations, Taipei Taiwan-based Tsai Kuen-Lin creates installations and sculptures that challenge  the viewer’s sense of spatial perception. Recent projects include installations at Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Nanhai Gallery, SOKA Art Center, and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (all in Taipei), and the  KOGANECHO Bazaar 2010, in Yokohama, Japan.

Tsai is also a filmmaker and scene designer. He has screened his work at Never Kill Camera Film Festival, Taipei, New Director Tailly High Film Festival, Taipei, and the 5th and 6th Taipei Film Festivals. He has also designed sets for the Assembly Dance Theatre at the New Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs Performance Hall, and Tsui-shuang La at  Experimental Theater of National Theater Concert Hall, Taipei, among others. The artist holds a M.F.A. from Taipei National University of the Arts and a B.F.A. from National Taiwan University of the Arts.
