Robin Margerin
Exhibition & Residency:
January 1 – February 28, 2013

Robin Margerin’s sculptural works use simple forms and building materials and found objects to loosely imply architectures and create subtle but pedestrian gestures that are open to multiple interpretations. He considers many of his works to be interactive and intended for the viewer to alter or touch or hold.

Recent group shows include: L’Effet Chenille, Château de Saint-Ouen – Saint-Ouen, France; Re-Bâtir, Espace Oger International – Saint-Ouen, France; I CAN DO THAT, Variable Space – Chicago; and Zoo Arena, Le Trianon, Paris. Recent solo projects include: Baggage, Galerie Gauche – Paris; and Exorcise in futility, La Générale en Manufacture, Sèvres, France. Margerin holds a BFA and MFA from Ecole National Superieur des Beaux Arts (ENSBA) in Paris and a AIMS post-graduate degree in partnership with ENSBA and Edmond Rothschild Foundation.
