Michael Henry Hayden is an artist based in Los Angeles. His painted reliefs tease the boundaries between painting and sculpture, while exploring personal and cultural relationships to the natural world.
Hayden has presented solo exhibitions at Moskowitz Bayse Gallery and Acme Gallery in Los Angeles, and two-person exhibitions at Del Vaz Projects, The Finley, and Left Field Gallery. He has participated in group shows at LAX Art, M+B, Roberts & Tilton Gallery, and Charlie James Gallery in Los Angeles, and at Team Gallery, Lyles and King, Frederieke Taylor Gallery, and the Neuberger Museum of Art in New York. His works are held in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. He attended the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, the Roski School of Fine Art at USC, and Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture.
