Liao Chi-Yu

Liao Chi-Yu is a Taiwanese artist specializing in video installations. In 2008, Liao received her B.F.A. in Fine Art  and then in 2012, her M.F.A. from the Department of New Media Art from the Taipei National University of the Arts. Recently, her work has explored the communal and cross-cultural aspects that are inherent in food culture. The concept behind these works was brought about by her travels: Liao observed and interviewed people to familiarize herself with what would otherwise be considered different or “exotic.” Lately she has shown Miss Farewell – LIAO Chi-Yu Solo Exhibition at VT ARTSALON in Taipei, Twinkle – LIAO Chi-Yu Solo Exhibition at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Art in Taipei and MimiLucy – Never Give Up – The New World at VT ARTSALON in Taipei. In addition, Liao has exhibited in eighteen international group exhibitions.
