Ida Kventy
Exhibition & Residency:

Ida Kvetny (b. 1980) lives in Copenhagen. She has a BA(hons) in Drawing and Painting (Edinburgh College of Art, 2006) and an MA Fine Art (Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, London, 2007). She attended the Norfolk Summer School of Art at Yale University in 2005 (Ellen Battell Stoeckel Fellowship Grant). Since her graduation, Ida Kvetny has participated in several national and international exhibitions, e.g. the Art Hall at Brandt’s (DK), ARKEN Museum of Modern Art (DK), Holstebro Museum of Art (DK), Kunsthal Charlottenborg (DK),Ystad Museum of Art (SE),  The Museum of Art at Seoul National University in Korea, The Sovereign European Art Prize Exhibition, Sommerset House (UK).

She has also participated in several group shows in Chicago, London, Berlin, Los Angeles and has been represented at the VOLTA SHOW in Basel and New York. Kventy has received several grants and awards, including The Royal Scottish Academy Painters Prize and The Maclaine Medal (young promising painter), Aage and Yelva Nimb Honoray Scholarship 2010 and Niels Wessel Baggers Foundation Grant 2011. Several of her projects have been supported by the Danish Art Council. In 2010, Kventy was artist in residence at RAID projects in Los Angeles and in 2012 she spent one month at the San Cataldo Institution in Italy.In early 2012 Kvetny was included in Kraks Blå Bog and in September 2012 she had her fifth solo show RAM at Gallery Christoffer Egelund in Copenhagen. During 2013 she will be working towards a group show at the Torrance Art Museum and in January 2014, her work will be at the Munch Gallery in New York.
