Hit Man Gurung
Exhibition & Residency:
April 1 – May 31, 2013

Hit Man Gurung is a Nepalese artist whose work includes public art, installation and photography. Gurung’s work focuses on areas of synthesis in contrasting or opposing societies and explores dualities – east/west, practical/ideological and mind/brain.
Gurung often plays with individual narratives that extend into the realms of both fantasy and reality to reveal multiple stories and diverse realities in order find collective or the “loud voice” of participation.
He works with the mediums of painting and social practice to mount performativity acts in public spaces.
This residency is generously supported by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Los Angeles.
