Hilla Ben Ari

Hilla Ben Ari is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Tel Aviv. Her work spans a variety of mediums such as video, installation, sculpture, and print, as well as projects that fuse visual art, dance, and theatre. The female body as a crossroads of social and political contexts is at the core of her work in which she rethinks and deconstructs cultural narratives.
Ben Ari has exhibited internationally and nationally including solo and group exhibitions at Libby Gallery; the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Museum of Art in Ein Harod, Tel Aviv Museum of Art; the Orange County Museum of Art, California; the MAXXI Museum, Rome; and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts as part of the 2009 Asian Art Biennial. Her video works were presented in international festivals including Videonale 12 at the Bonn Museum of Art, and the 18th Japan Media Arts Festival at the National Art Center Tokyo.
