Every week 18th Street receives inquiries from artists that are interested in being a part of our residency program or exhibiting in our gallery. Unfortunately it’s impossible for us to meet the needs of every artist that contacts us. In an effort to serve these talented, emerging artists that often go unacknowledged, 18th Street has created its own online gallery. It will serve as an opportunity for artists, invited by 18th Street, to upload their images and create custom albums that showcase their work to the public.

The works in Shangri L.A. approaches architecture as something fluid and ephemeral, at times virtual, interactive, recycled and purely cosmetic, building on and dissecting what is already there, exploiting in between spaces, and shifting as needs, values, emotions and desires shift.
