18th Street’s exhibition program is well known for its innovative themes and outstanding roster of participating visual artists. Guest curators develop thematic shows in the main gallery which reflect the pressing and important issues of our times. Individual artists are presented in our project room where they receive a more concentrated focus. 18th Street seeks to support emerging and mid career artists whose art making practice reflects a deep commitment to their practice, and whose ideas and efforts are deserving of a wider critical forum.
Our exhibitions are supported by the James Irvine Foundation, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, and various private donors.
While we do not solicit proposals for exhibitions we are happy to receive artists materials which we keep on file and make available to our guest curators. They may be sent to 18th Street Artistic Director Clayton Campbell.
