Susanna Knittel’s art making process is motivated by her research into uncharted territory of consciousness, the body, and social change. As a dancer and storyteller, influenced by a life working with dreams and the unconscious, she is interested in uncovering the dynamics behind the evident reality. Knittel creates experiences that invite participation as an alchemical process – like the current Matrilineage project– an investigation into the collective body of the mother line in a society marked by masculine values.
