Richard Newton’s Have You Seen My Privacy will have one of its participating artists, Stephen Seemayer speak in the gallery.
In his appearance in 18th Street’s Gallery, Inside Out: Making Public What Is Private, Stephen Seemayer ‘s presentation will consist of him taking your innermost thoughts and exposing them through your art is a risky experiment. You lay yourself on the line with no guarantee that your ideas will be communicated as you meant them to be. The message can take on a life of its own, and what you intended to say can be interpreted in vastly different ways depending on the context in which it is received.
Stephen will also discuss his own work, identity and surveillance.
