David McDonald is an artist whose primary mediums are sculpture and painting. His works deal with the fragmentary nature of self, space, and architecture. McDonald has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Pollock Krasner Foundation Fellowship, and a Fellowship from the City of Santa Monica. He has taught at various institutions, including the University of Southern California, California State University Long Beach, UCLA, and New Roads High School. He is also a student of Zen Buddhism with over ten years of practice experience
