Carla Herrera-Prats’ project will explore the role creativity plays in pairing education standardization and democracy. Prats will create a space that promotes discussions among various groups, institutions and people involved in the design and the implementation of standardized tests with the purpose of enhancing education at every level. Some of the sectors that will be invited to participate in the dialogue for this project include: Department of Education at UCLA, the College Board, Baron’s Editions, The Princeton Review, Sylvan test Prep Course, Kaplan Test Prep designers of test-scoring machines and several other organizations that are instrumental to the educational ring.
